  • Yes - completely. You’ll have the entire one-acre property, bungalow, and pool to yourselves. Our property manager lives off-site but is available if you need assistance.

  • The beach is stunning, but like all Top End waters, it’s important to be Croc-wise. There can be crocodiles and marine stingers in the ocean, so swimming isn’t recommended.

Instead, guests enjoy long beach walks, incredible sunsets, fishing, and cooling off in the private pool at Jungle Hut.

  • Yes to both. The bungalow is fully air-conditioned, and Wi-Fi is available throughout the property so you can stay connected if need be.

  • Absolutely. Kids love the jungle gym, trampoline, and beach swing - and there’s plenty of space to roam. We also have a pool and a shallow wading step perfect for supervised little ones.

For the safety of young children, we recommend they wear a water safety device or floatie while on the front verandah, as it is directly exposed to the pool area.

  • Sorry, we can’t allow pets to protect the local wildlife.

  • The kitchen is fully equipped with a full-sized fridge, oven, cooktop, microwave, toaster, kettle, and all necessary cookware and utensils. You’ll also find a BBQ outside for those sunset feasts.

  • Dundee Beach is all about relaxing and enjoying the outdoors. It’s best known for world-class fishing, with opportunities to catch barramundi, snapper, and reef fish. You can also go crabbing in the mangroves, take long beach walks, enjoy incredible sunsets, or explore the coastline with a 4WD. For a laid-back local experience, grab a meal or drink at Dundee Beach Tavern.

  • Yes! The Dundee Beach Tavern is just a 15-minute stroll via road or beach, or few minutes drive, and serves great pub meals with ocean views.

  • We’ll always do our best to accommodate special requests depending on other bookings - just ask when you book.

  • Dry season (May to August) offers the most sunshine and mild weather - it’s also when turtles come ashore to nest. The wet season (November to April) brings hotter, more humid weather, lush greenery, dramatic skies, and the occasional tropical downpour.

  • Fishing at Dundee Beach is great year-round, though many anglers consider the dry season (May–October) the most comfortable time to visit. During these months the weather is cooler, humidity is lower, and sea conditions are generally calmer, making it easier to head offshore.

  • Yes. The build-up and wet season (November–April) can deliver excellent fishing, especially for barramundi. Afternoon storms are common, so many anglers fish early in the morning before the weather builds.
